You can call your local church and ask for some time with a pastor for counseling. Most churches will do this for you, though a lack of staffing and training usually limits the counseling to just a handful of sessions before they refer to a licensed professional counselor. One exception to this is Grace Baptist Church in Santa Clarita which has a great lay counselor program. Their contact information is listed below.
